Mahan Nohroudi (Santour)

Mahan started his studies on the santour at Music Conservatory in Tehran, where he completed his secondary school studies, followed by a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Music and a Master’s degree at the Art University of Karaj, both in santour performance. His leading Santour instructors included Ostad Parviz Meshkatian, Ardavān Kamkar, and Arfa Atraee. He has played on several recordings alongside the best Iranian music artists of his generation including Salar Aghili, Vahid Taj, Alireza Shah Mohammadi, and has recorded soundtracks for television and screen. As a performer in several concerts in Iran and Canada, and he also participated in the Festival International de Musique Andalouse in Algeria.  As an educator, his experience includes teaching at Tehran Conservatory. He brings to the lessons his knowledge and expertise in technique and repertoire, a comprehensive and precise approach to teaching.
