Mona Manoochehri

Mona Manoochehri (Children’s Vocal, Classical Vocal, Children’s Choir)

Mona Manoochehri is a classical vocalist and children’s music educator. After finishing her Bachelor of Music at the Art University of Tehran in 2010, she continued her education in classical singing in United states and later in Canada, where she received a second place prize in the NATS competition in 2012. Mona’s interests in pedagogy led her to pursue her postgraduate education in “Advanced Studies in Music and Dance Education” at Mozarteum University, Salzburg in 2016. She has been an Orff-Schulwerk educator for more than 17 years, and is a member of the board of directors of Iranian Orff-Schulwerk Association with the goal of raising awareness of children’s music education, and providing professional development for educators through numerous workshops and seminars. 

With her extensive experience in teaching music to children, and her analytical approach to singing, Mona’s teaching aims to “embody" the sense of rhythm, harmony and melody in joyful and engaging ways leading to self expression and creativity.
