Sasan Salaseli (Tonbak, Daf, Handpan, Cajon)

Sassan has worked as a percussion teacher for over two decades. Having studied with the masters Jahangir Malek, Bijan Kamkar, and Bahman Rajabi, he has been passing on the art and craft of Iranian percussion to the next generations of enthusiasts.

In addition to teaching, Sasan has contributed to the music scene both domestically and internationally. This includes performing with the "Sarayan Group" on a tour of Scandinavian countries in 2010 and participating in performances with Behdad Babaei and Kouroush Babaei among others.

Sassan established the Arghvan Music Institute in Tehran in 2008 and pioneered the creation of Iran's first specialized percussion school, "Abidar" in 2007. From 2003, Sasan has been developing rhythm pedagogy for children through innovative methods involving poetry and group workshops.
